I am a lifelong native of Calhoun County. I graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1996 and received my BS degree in Criminal Justice from Jacksonville State University in 2001.
While in college, I began my legal career working as a legal assistant. In 2006, I began attending law school while continuing to work as a legal assistant.
In December, 2008 I graduated from the Birmingham School of Law. After taking the bar, I was admitted to practice in May 2009.
In the beginning, my legal career focused exclusively in the field of bankruptcy. In 2013, I expanded my fields of practice to include criminal law, juvenile delinquency, and juvenile dependency.
I stay active in my community. I am an active member of the Calhoun-Cleburne Bar where I serve on the Executive Committee and have served as local bar president. I have served on the boards of Family Links and Family Services Center of Calhoun County, Inc., which help serve the youth and families in Calhoun County.
In my spare time, you can find me being a full time dog mom to my German Shorthair, Tucker. I am also very active at Iron City Baptist where you can often find me organizing VBS and helping out of the praise and worship band.
